Health & Safety Policy

We're committed to preventing work-related illness, incidents and accidents

Beaufort’s management team lead by example in their commitment to preventing work-related illness, incidents and accidents; ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, as outlined in the Safety Act and General Safety Regulations, and the Worker Safety Compensation Commission, are practiced and adhered to.

Staff participation and input at each level – managers, supervisors, office and field employees - contribute to the maintenance of Beaufort Construction’s existing Health & Safety Program and further development of, and improvement to, existing Company Policies; Hazard Assessments, Safe Work Practices and Job Procedures.

Health and Safety regulations apply to, and impact, each employee’s specific role within the organization. It is the responsibility of each employee to understand these regulations and to be accountable for their actions while in Beaufort’s office, shop and onsite locations.

Actively pursuing COR Certification (Certificate of Recognition), as endorsed by the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA), further demonstrates Beaufort’s commitment to company-wide safe work programs and practices.

Focusing on significantly reducing the risk of workplace accidents and injury, Beaufort Construction Ltd. assumes responsibility for the maintenance and continued improvement of the company’s Health and Safety Program, understanding and providing those legislative safeguards mandated to ensure a safe work environment for all its employees.
